What is iDokuta Care?

iDokuta Care is a medical-language toolkit for foreigners living in or visiting Japan. The current version helps you communicate about health in Japanese — it is not itself a diagnosis or a doctor.

What can I do with it today?

• Translate — type in your language and get medically-aware Japanese (and the reverse), with plain-language explanations of medical terms.
• Symptom → Japanese — describe how you feel and get clear Japanese text you can show a doctor or pharmacist.
• Health card — save your blood type, allergies, and medications (encrypted) to show at a clinic.
• Emergency guidance — how to call 119.

How much does it cost?

The translation, symptom, and health-card tools in this version are free.

How do I sign in?

1. Open iDokuta Care and complete the short onboarding.
2. On the sign-in screen, choose "Continue with email" and enter your email address.
3. We email you a 6-digit verification code — enter it to sign in.

Check your spam/junk folder, confirm the address is correct, and tap "Resend" after the timer. If it still doesn't arrive, contact us below.

How do I delete my account and data?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account inside the app. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected].

The translation seems off — what can I do?

Try rephrasing more simply, or shorten the sentence. The translator preserves medical meaning, dosages, and numbers, but it is a tool — always confirm important details with a licensed professional.

Is the Health card stored safely?

Your medical records are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). See the Privacy Policy for details.
